teaching tweens

I'm actually rethinking teaching elementary students. I love teaching the little ones so much but it's hard to find elementary jobs. I'm not happy where I am and the only openings I've seen have been for middle school and high school. I may have to learn to teach tweens. I will have to get use to the hormones and different learning styles.

My first week of school was hectic because I am starting a new position. I was a 5th grade self-contained teacher last year and this year I am a 3rd grade inclusion teacher. The position comes with new responsibilities so I feel like a new teacher all over again. The students need a lot of attention and guidance. It's a interesting experience but I am looking forward to this new year. I have a bigger group of students on my caseload but they are all great. I am taking two classes this semester and that is kicking my butt. Please keep me in your prayers and I hope everyone has a great first semester.
