Most students are “first timers” and need thorough and expert guidance from someone skilled. What’s more, teachers may not be available to the students all the time, and in fact, may have even less time at the end of the semester.
dissertations sample can be a blessing for students because most students are not familiar with the writing and formatting skills of thesis research and writing. dissertation sample can be used…

Coursework writing is really not a peanut as I took it in the beginning when I was assigned a college coursework. It was really tough to find coursework help, even online coursework help. But you know internet is a magical world, sooner or later you come to the right place. So did I when I started searching online coursework help. But it took a lot of time of mine to find the exact material for writing my college coursework.
It is very essential to have the correct guidelines for writing…

I will definitely take half of the responsibility of what occurred in my classroom today. The students are taking the TABE each morning, and several of the students are also taking work assessments- needless to say, they are exhausted. We all know how testing makes our struggling students feel. I had not gotten to changing the Daily Kickoff and Journal Entry for my 4rth block today, and that was enough to set the tone of the class it seemed. I never realized how having that "Beginning" routine t…

Does anyone have any tips for students who are just completely disorganized. I have several students this year who are constantly forgetting/losing assignments, books, binders ect.. I sat with them at the beginning of the year and organized/labeled all the materials they needed for their classes. I then walked them through the process of making sure materials and supplies are placed in the proper area when they are recieved. I encourage and even check Agenda use from time to time. I even do orga…

This is my first time dealing with VAAP. Does anyone have any idea how it works? Is it just like VGLA, but in stead of doing all of the bullets, I can just choose one?

Dissertation writing is not an easy task and it is extremely challenging for almost all students.
Dissertation writing is the most important part of your degree. It requires dedication, perseverance, ability to do in-depth research and determination. Writing a dissertation is challenging but not impossible if you are provided with professional
dissertation help. You should try to facilitate your…

Does anyone have suggestions on how to teach multiple subjects in a classroom without any other help? I have two different math subjects (Algebra I and Pre-Algebra) and two Earth Science students. Does anyone else have a classroom like this? I do not like. I believe that the students do not get the proper attention. All of the subjects have SOL's and if they do not pass them guess whose fault it is.

I already feel that I am behind again. This is my second year, but now I have new classes to teach and I have to start over from scratch with lesson plans and PPTs. Is anyone else in the same boat as me? I can feel that I will be the same next year too. Maybe years down the road I will catch up.
Hope everyone has a great year.

I really enjoyed watching both of the videos. Thanks so much for posting them.
I need all the help I can get. I am an older person making a career change from contract work to teaching. I am finding it very difficult to keep up with all the new techniques and philosophies on teaching. I completely understand that we are just trying to do a better job at reaching all students, but it seems so overwhelming and exhausting to keep up with everything.
I have some time now that the students are fini…

Since the year is almost over, did anyone have any issues, like me, trying to put together a VGLA folder for the first time? I think VGLA's are great, but it seems that it comes down to the teacher to make sure that they have put together the right information so the student can pass. I found that it was hard to come up with my own worksheets and also to find the time to teach the student all of what has to go into the folder. I do know that once all the worksheets are "4s", than it makes VGLA a…

I'm actually rethinking teaching elementary students. I love teaching the little ones so much but it's hard to find elementary jobs. I'm not happy where I am and the only openings I've seen have been for middle school and high school. I may have to learn to teach tweens. I will have to get use to the hormones and different learning styles.

Delete Discussion Hello,
I am finding it difficult to transition from General Education to Special Education. Mainly because I don't really understand my role. Am I a teacher or a tutor? Never being allowed to lead a class through a lesson, feels more like being a tutor. Am I a tutor, or an aide? I am often treated by the other teachers as an aide - running errands, or making copies pulls me out of the room and then my students compl…

Hi Elizabeth,
I am so sorry that your student is draining you. I know this is very difficult. I believe I share your frustration and concern. Last semester I had a student who drained me and I think that the worst thing was trying to see a light at the end of the tunnel. What I did to help me hang in there was to read a devotional made for teachers. Wow! the inspiration I got from it was so helpful. I knew from what I read that I wasn't the only one going through what I was experiencing and tha…

Count to ten. Breathe. Breathe deeply. Today, was one of those days. Everything I said was wrong. Everything I attempted didn't work. I feel beaten down- a repetition of yesterday. I have a student in my class who has TBI and siezures. I recently found out that he has Landau Kleffner Syndrome and Opposition Defiant Disorder as well. I looked up the LKS disorder, and my student has not lost is language abilities. However, there is confusion at times between what I am communicating and what he is…

I have been wondering what other people's experiences have been like concerning the Virginia Grade Level Assessment (VGLA). Initially, I was pretty hesitant about the entire process and I could not quite figure out how it actually worked and what validity it actually had educationally. My journey has been pretty exhausting and very time consuming. I have been putting countless hours into finding the proper samples that align with the Virginia Standards of Learning, implementing the work into cla…

Hello all, I have been teaching 4 middle school boys with various ED and MR since October. I am also taking my third class at UMW towards licensure. So, as you can see, as I learn, I am trying to incorporate it into my classroom instruction and behavior management. I would say that 75% of my day is behavioral management versus academic learning. I often leave exhausted and maxed out myself! My class, I call them "my boys" has been an amazing teaching opportunity and experience. They have taught…

To All,
I have been teaching for four months. I teach high school English and Geometry. I am at a private alternative school. I was taking three master level courses last semester. It is an understatedment to say that I hung on with all that I had. It was very difficult to start teaching, prepare lesson plans, learn the material myself, and get all of my assignments finished on time. I know that this it the typical schedule for most teachers. Although I survived, I wish I could have started tea…

“The words or the language, as they are written or spoken, do not seem to play any role in my mechanism of thought.” Albert Einstein (West, 1999)
Are our students like Einstein? Do they think in images rather than in words? Einstein also said that he had great difficulty translating his ideas into words. Perhaps many of the students who are classified as having learning disabilities are visual thinkers who are masters of images but deficient in their use of language. Yet we teach using language…

Educators and parents tune in. Here are a few elements (from the www.autismclassroom.com website) that each autism classroom should consider:
1. Schedules- A classroom schedule should be posted that reflects the following: independent work time, 1:1 (or 2:1) work time, small group instruction, social skills instruction, sensory play, structured play/structured recreation-leisure opportunities, fine motor work opportunities, personal management opportunities, limited large group activities.
